Did you know that Jared Jensen Park was dedicated in honor of the life and service of Detective Jared Jensen? He was killed in the line of duty in February of 2006. The park is located at 6724 Windom Peak Blvd (near Dublin & Powers). It has a skateboard area, inline skate court, basketball, picnic pavilion, playground, .3 mi sidewalk loop. 3.5 acres. The Colorado Springs Sky Soxs are the AAA affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The best thing about this team is that they are located right here in the Powers neighborhood just a stones throw for Ridgeview at Stetson Hills. Games are played at the Security Service Field located at 4385 Tutt Blvd., Colorado Springs CO, 80922. The season starts on April 5^thand ends on September 3^rd. Tickets can be purchased separately; 6 – 24 packs and season tickets are also available. The stadium was built in 1988 & renovated in 2005 and the seating capacity is 8,500. The season starts in a little more than 2 months and I can’t wait to tailgate and watch a game!
